I class myself as a 'documentary style wedding photographer' as most of my pictures are about capturing your day as it unfolds; so that you see the emotional connections between your family and friends as well as yourselves as a couple. I also love to produce a selection of beautiful portraits - depending on the nature of your wedding these could involve some amazing sunset pictures, capturing a star filled sky at the end of the night, or doing something amazingly creative.

Photography is in my blood and it's my absolute passion.
My father was a photographer and it's been my career since leaving college (I'm dare not say how long ago that was.!), having collected A Level, BTEC ND, City & Guilds in my subject.
I've done it all in terms of making pictures, and have worked with a huge range of clients, venues and products all over the world.

At the start of 2016 I had a goal in mind to win some awards.
The purpose being to boost my confidence as well as the confidence of potential couples.
Up until that point, whilst I felt my work was of a high standard I simply didn't feel I offered anything that particularly stood out from other photographers.
To win an award at such high level an image must firstly have a sense of appeal, be technically good in terms of exposure and sharpness etc, and employ some creativity.
As the standard of photography continues to improve gaining awards becomes more difficult, such is the degree of competition.
The purpose being to boost my confidence as well as the confidence of potential couples.

The styles, size and timings of weddings vary hugely and I will tailor my approach to your wedding pictures with you in mind.
That said, I think there are some important points to note about what to expect from me on your special day.

I generally stay out of the limelight at your wedding and you may not notice me taking pictures for a while - don't worry, I will be!.
In order to achieve some pictures of you, as a couple, I may take you away from the main hullabaloo of the wedding for a few short periods - no more than perhaps 15 minutes at a time.
That said, I think there are some important points to note about what to expect from me on your special day.
So, here goes.

I like many other photographers offer a set of images on a USB drive, combined with a nice set of prints as well as an online gallery and slideshow.
This for me is very important, as you've then future proofed your pictures.
The problem is however that technology evolves at an alarming pace, it seems like barley a blink since we were giving clients a CD/DVD of their wedding pictures, and now as I sit at my computer writing this there isn't even a slot to insert one.
I like many other photographers offer a set of images on a USB drive, combined with a nice set of prints as well as an online gallery and slideshow.
This for me is very important, as you've then future proofed your pictures.

Yes I have professional wedding photographer insurance.
I have two million public liability insurance as well as insurance for all my expensive kit.
My insurance also covers in case of professional indemnity to 50 thousand.
If booked for a full day I will be there from preparations through to dancing, if booked for a half day (up to 4 hours) then a schedule according to your requirements will be devised.
On a full day cover I typically shoot around 3000 images sometimes more.
Many of these will be duplicate images as when I shoot I use a fast motor drive setting in order to allow for blinking eyes and covering for the best expression.
