It's been a crazy year this year with heaps of change - moving house, my youngest starting school, my eldest starting his GCSEs. Work has been super-busy with more commercial photography than usual for some ace kids' brands, including Tommee Tippee, Baba + Boo and. This is one of my all-time favourite In The Wild shoots. Charlotte is an amazing photographer - I first met her when she came along to one of my Roost family photography workshops and we instantly hit it off - she's so warm, funny and kind.

When she got in touch to. It's such good fun taking photos for families when they're on special trips away - family holiday photography is bloody ace - everyone's relaxed and in the mood for adventure, right up my street! For this shoot I spent an ace afternoon joining a thoroughly lovely family on their weekend away by the sea.
Services
The Shutterhood is my online membership for fledgling photographers, designed to support people in the early stages of setting up their photography business, and covers the essential foundations for launching and growing any type of photography business, wedding, family or otherwise.
Go for this if you are just starting out.
The Roost is a course covering the particular ways you need to tailor and adapt your photographic and business approach for family photography specifically, including working with families and different age groups, troubleshooting common problems and family photography pricing and sales.
You treasure photos of your kids but you're usually either behind the camera or dodging it, so you've got precious few pictures of you with them, and even fewer of the whole family together.
You can't be bothered with some stranger swooping in and bossing you all around, making you pose like a pillock while you desperately wish you were somewhere else.
You aren't fussed about perfection, pristine outfits or pretty pictures that say nothing of any value and look the same as everyone else's.
You don't just want to remember what your family looked like, you want to remember your mannerisms, personalities, quirks, emotions, connections, habits, spirit, expressions.
You've got a fancy camera but you're stuck on 'Auto' and aren't sure about the other settings, so usually just end up taking pics with your phone instead.
You enjoy taking pictures of your family and friends but want to be able to take more natural, candid images where they don't feel or look awkward.
When you do use your camera, you often miss moments or feel frustrated that the pictures are blurred or don't do the subject or moment justice.
You'd love to do something other than point and shoot, but you're busy, the buttons & dials are confusing and you don't have much time or inclination to wade through a boring instruction manual.
Simple family activities that take minimal time & resources (most can be done in 5-10 mins) to create precious daily moments of connection between you and your family.
A few simple tips & tricks to help you get better photos of your kids, whether you're using an SLR, compact camera or just your good old trusty cameraphone.
Some of my favourite time and sanity-saving resources that can make life a whole lot simpler!
Organisation, health, mealtimes and fun for both parents and kids.
Compiled gradually over more than a decade of camping with kids, here's everything you could possibly need to make your little adventure as easy and enjoyable as possible!
Ditch the overwhelm, magnetise your 'tribe' and enjoy pride and confidence in your own unique brand.
You can strip it all back, shut out the noise, focus on your own unique path and use simple, achievable strategies that get you big results without running yourself into the ground.
I've loved helping so many photographers to grow and I'm so proud of the kind things they say.
Have a flick through below to hear it straight from them.
I'm now booking a lot more family shoots and overall earning probably at least 50% more than I was before, and in some cases double.
