Welcome to the website of Edinburgh wedding photographer Hamish Robb. Based in Edinburgh, my unique style of documentary wedding photography has taken me from nearby wedding venues in Fife (where I grew up) all the way to Lerwick in Shetland. Whether you are looking for a wedding photographer to capture your day in a country house, remote beach or in your parent's garden I would love to be there.
I take pride in what I do. My passion is to create stunning images. All captured in a natural and unobtrusive manner. A wedding day is filled with subtle and overwhelming moments. My aim is to provide an authentic and visual documentation of real life. I like to treat my couples more like friends than clients. I love nothing more than capturing completely natural wedding photographs.

Services
I've been lucky enough to photograph weddings at candle lit chapels and remote highland beaches to name but a few!
From beautiful landscapes to chic city centre venues, there is something for everyone.
If you're looking to hire a wedding photographer you are probably in the early stages of wedding planning and perhaps have booked your wedding venue already.
You might then like to search my website to see if I have shot at your wedding venue before.
Unfortunately, I can't post on the website every wedding I shoot so if your venue is not listed you can always contact me to ask.

As Scotland's capital, Edinburgh has a wealth of historical buildings (both old and new) which are available to hold weddings including Edinburgh castle!
There are also many iconic locations from Calton hill to the Royal Mile which all come to life during the Edinburgh festival.

As someone who grew up in Fife it's always a pleasure to return to photograph a wedding at one of the many fantastic venues on offer.
Before I moved to Edinburgh I shot most of my weddings in Fife so I'm familiar with many of the venues.
What strikes me the most is the landscape and scenery.
From coastal towns such as St Andrews with access to beautiful beaches to more remote country houses and even converted barns.
All of which can provide an intimate setting for a wedding.
Some of my favourite venues include Craigsanquhar House, Balbirnie House and Kinkell Byre.

Beach weddings are more popular than ever.
Ideal for those seeking a more relaxed style of wedding.
Nothing quite beats an outdoor beach ceremony amongst breathtaking scenery with the fresh sea air assuming the weather is on your side!
Although based in Edinburgh, I am happy to travel the length and breadth of the country to photograph a wedding.
I have also been known to 'rough it' with the wedding guests and bring my own tent along for the occasion at some of the more remote weddings!
One of my favourite beach wedding locations has to be Camusdarach.

What is a pre-wedding shoot you might ask?
They do not necessarily involve a wedding dress, a kilt or any wedding attire.
It is simply a photo shoot taken in the run up to your wedding involving you and your other half.
It is a great way to help you feel more comfortable in front of the camera especially if you might be nervous before your wedding.
Another benefit of a pre-wedding shoot is that time is on our side and gives us an opportunity to visit locations for photographs that we might not visit on the wedding day.
