I developed an interest in photography when I was in my early teens and I went on to attend my local camera club in Cumbernauld.
This was where I learned the basics of framing my subjects, exposure and aperture and also about developing my own prints (I could only afford to do B&W though).
My mother allowed me to have a darkroom in our house so I was able to pursue this.
At the time I didn't have the confidence to pursue a career in photography and when I left school ended up in a retail environment.
