When I was growing up, my father made a set of family albums. The albums are made of thick, luxurious brown leather, with a sheet of wax paper between every photo page to protect the photos.
He used to hand-write the captions in an artistic and creative way. Album no.3 celebrates the arrival of baby Kermeen in 1969 (that's me, before I became known as 'Kim') - adopted at six months old. Now, in my fifties, I admit my memory isn't that great. Looking at the albums helps to keep my memories alive. The family albums will always be my most prized possession, together with my own wedding album, that is.
