The swim school prides itself on being a happy and safe environment to learn in and uses several Wirral venues to accommodate these lessons with Calday Grange swimming pool and Birkenhead High School established as firm favourites.
Stanley School, Thingwall is our most recent venue and offers exclusive lessons to its members.

Equipment: At Helen Diamond Swimming all equipment is provided so there is no need to bring your own armbands or floats.
Kit: obvious things you will need are swimming costume (girls) or swimming trunks/shorts (boys), although please make sure the shorts are not too long as they can make it much harder for children when they are learning to swim by weighing them down.
Goggles may be worn but we would advise that they are already adjusted to the childs head prior to the swimming lesson to save wasting time in the water trying to fit them.

At Helen Diamond Swimming we use the ASA badge scheme and all children will aim to complete at least one badge per term.
In the Beginner classes the children will be aiming for their ASA stage one and stage two and Duckling badges which consist of varying skills and water confidence.
They will also be aiming to reduce their arm discs and eventually swim without any aids at all leading to their first distance badges (5m and 10m).
Children who are able to swim for most of the lesson with none or 1 arm disc on each arm will be moved into Beginner Plus, which will prepare them for the Improver class (where they will generally swim with no aids).

One -One sessios are priced differently to group lessons, the price is 19.25 per session.
Private swimming lessons can ensure faster progression and are perfect for those who don't feel comfortable, or find it difficult to concentrate in a group lesson.
The one-on-one setting is ideal for people who are looking for a dedicated swimming instructor.
Each lesson is taken by a fully qualified swimming instructor and lasts for half an hour.
