Backlash Photography is a Shropshire based photographic business run by photographer Matthew Everington providing services across Shrewsbury, Telford, Market Drayton, Oswestry and throughout the Midlands. From our Shrewsbury based studio we specialise in family photography, baby & child photography, Bump photography, couple photography, wedding photography, commercial photography and much more.
We also cater for on location shoots where the customer may want a more natural feel to the photos. At Backlash Photography we aim to provide as wide of a range of photographic services as possible. Whatever the request we ensure that the customer gets what they are looking for. A photograph is a memory for years to come so we aim to make those memories stand out the way you want.

My name is Matthew Everington, I'm a freelance photographer based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
I took up photography in 2010 when I bought my first camera; since then I have studied the art in many different ways from college courses to online tuition.
I am always keen to expand my skills further and I spend a lot of time researching new and ever-changing techniques that I can apply to my own work.

From the moment they open their eyes our children become the most special thing in our lives.
They grow up so fast though and if you even blink you miss a special moment in their life.
So it's never to early to start creating the memories of them that you can pick up and look at time and time again.
At Backlash Photography we understand this and that is why we offer a photographic service that can capture any moment of their lives from the first week of birth onward.
If its a studio shoot you are after or a relaxed home shoot we can cater for both comfortably allowing you the results that you want.

We had our photo shoot this morning and what a great time my daughter had!
After countless practices of smiling nicely at home I was a bit worried about what the photographs would turn out like!
There was no need to worry at all! Matt did a great job of getting Ella to relax and got some great natural shots as well as some really good ones with props!
We had an outfit change thrown in there too!
Now comes the hard decision of deciding which ones we want to purchase!
I would highly recommend this guy to anyone, really down to earth and great at his job!

Yes, all bookings for shoots are only confirmed once the customer has paid a mandatory deposit.
The deposit is a percentage of the total price of the shoot.
Until we receive a paid deposit we will only pencil in a shoot for a requested date but we will not guarantee it.
The deposit must be paid no later than 7 days before the date of the shoot unless you are booking closer to the date in which case the deposit will be payable immediately.
