From the 14th Century Bridgewick Hall I travelled a few miles up the road to Tiptree but in so doing I travelled nearly 700 years because this one is bang up to date and recently completed - the impecabbly finished Marsh House is everything you expect an architecturally designed dream home to be.

This fantastic building which in parts dates back to the 14th century has been home to the current owners for over 30 years, and its easy to see why - its surely been an idyllic place to raise a family and to entertain both family and friends.
Theres something very reassuring about a home that has stood for hundreds of years, although at times its hard not to think about the many hundreds of people that have passed through.
There is certainly plenty for any keen historian to get their teeth into!
