Hello, thanks for stopping by, my name is James. I am a full time, documentary, wedding photographer from Sheffield. I love making photographs of substance, images that take you back to those precious moments. Each one helping to tell the story of your day. Always there, but never intrusive, blending in with your guests, chatting, laughing, but always observing.
My plan is simple, I want to photograph you having an amazing time with your closest friends and family. During the day I will be capturing natural, storytelling images. For a short time, I will need the two of you for a selection of intimate, relaxed portraits. I promise I won't drag you away from your guests for hours. I have been photographing weddings for more than 15 years, that's 400+ weddings!
I have photographed weddings all over the UK, from Mull in the Hebrides to Suffolk, Cornwall and pretty much everywhere in-between, including the odd trip abroad. I am privileged to have worked at most of the great local venues. I am lucky enough to be recommended by quite a few.

Services
Thank you for taking the time to have a look at my website - I really hope you enjoy the content.
I have also given you links through to a selection of full weddings.
This is because I think it's really important for you to see some complete weddings from beginning to end.
That way you get a better idea of how I cover the day and of course, it will also tell you if my photographic style is what you're looking for.
A wedding for me is about two people in love, celebrating with their closest friends and family.

Prices for weekend weddings (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), from April to October start from 1450.
Prices include all initial meetings, photography on the day, editing/retouching, a download of all your high-resolution image files and your own private gallery to share with your friends and family.
Both of these options include everything you need for the perfect record of your day, but I do have a few optional extras.
Worth keeping in mind when budgeting.
If you're having a bigger wedding, 120+ guests, with a sprawling venue it might be worth thinking about a second photographer.

Plans have changed and in many cases, that means a smaller, more intimate wedding.
But if you're surrounded by the people most important to you then that is just perfect.
Over the years intimate weddings have been some of my favourites.
From a weekend at Glemgorm Castle with ten amazing people, to just a bride and groom and two witnesses in Sheffield City Centre.
Micro weddings may be the only way to get married at the moment, but they have always been special.
If you had originally planned to have a bigger wedding there are some amazing reasons why smaller weddings are just perfect.

Hodsock Priory is a historic country house wedding venue.
Hodsock has been restored from a family home to a luxury, award-winning, country house wedding and event venue.
Breathtaking views, a stunning Tudor Gatehouse, acres of gardens, woodland and rolling fields make Hodsock unique in the North Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire area.
Only holding one event at a time gives you exclusive use of this amazing venue, including 17 guest bedrooms so you don't have far to go when the party ends.
Henry VIII visited Hodsock Priory in 1541 and when you retire to the sumptuous bridal suite with its beautiful four poster bed and luxurious en-suite complete with roll top bath I'm sure you will feel equally as special.

I am proud to be recommended by Chatsworth, I have a fantastic relationship with the lovely staff there.
The people who look after the weddings and events are brilliant and one of the reasons it is such a popular venue in Derbyshire.
Chatsworth makes an exceptional location for weddings, receptions and civil partnerships.
I have photographed many weddings there and whole experience is always fabulous.
Everything from the warm, friendly staff, the trip round the gardens in the golf cart to the grandeur of the Carriage House set up for an evening reception.
