Hello, I'm Simon Atkins, a wedding photojournalist for couples who love unposed, natural wedding photography. I'm based in Northamptonshire and work all over the UK in my unique wedding photojournalism style capturing real moments that you will love! I work in a style which is often called reportage wedding photography or wedding photojournalism.
My background was as a newspaper photojournalist before setting up as one of the pioneers of the wedding documentary style, I've since photographed over 1000 weddings all over the UK as well as Venice, France, Menorca & Ireland.I have photographed a number of celebrity weddings including Martin Shaw's son Joe Shaw (actor), TV presenter Jasmine Harman, comedian & actor Rob Brydon, car designer J.Mays, comedian Lucy Montgomery, Queen music video producer Rhys Thomas.
I'm now also available for documentary family photography. I'm a wedding photographer with a background in press photojournalism. I spent 12 years working for newspapers before becoming a full time wedding photographer in 2000.

Hello I'm Simon Atkins, I have been involved in professional photography for my entire working life since starting my career working as a press photographer after qualifiying at journalism college as a photojournalist.
I later moved on to working for a press agency supplying national newspapers with news and features.
During this time I covered stories as diverse as flying in a Chinnook helicopter photographing the British Army training to photographing bands and musicians, most of the Royal Family, Fashion in Paris as well as more mundane assignments like photographing CEO's for the money pages.

Of course I'll take a few photos of you both together that you can hang on the wall and some family photographs, but mostly I will be photographing the day as it unfolds.
