J L M Wedding Photography
People often describe me as the wedding photographer for people who don't like having their photo taken. Just like most of the couples I photograph, I don't particularly like having my photo taken. I feel uncomfortable and end up putting on a weird fake smile. Wedding photos should be real smiles and genuine happiness, so I take the time to let people be themselves, and that really shows in the photos.

The only decision you need to make right now is whether you want me to photograph your wedding. If you say yes then you'll get hundreds of beautiful, natural photos of you and your guests enjoying your wedding day. I like to keep things as simple as possible because I know how stressful it is to plan your own wedding. The last thing I want is to add more pressure by forcing you to decide upfront whether you'll want albums, prints, video coverage and all those other things.

When you do book you'll pick your options, and you'll be free to update your options at any point up until 3 weeks prior to your wedding day.
Services
These are all reviews lifted from either my Facebook page or my Google listing that have been written by past couples, and sometimes other friends and family members who attended weddings I have photographed.
James genuinely cares about providing and delivering the best service to ensure your big day is captured and one to remember.
He's so impressive with his duty of care and all the time he offers in the build up to the wedding, during the day and even after the event providing amazing value for money.
Full wedding day coverage begins with getting ready a few hours prior to your ceremony.
We'll figure out the actual timings in our timeline planning meeting a few weeks prior to your wedding day.
I'll stay with you throughout the ceremony, drinks reception and evening reception, casually recording moments as they happen.
I don't take photos of people in their underwear, nor do I photograph your guests whilst they eat their dinner.
Everything else is fair game.
I'll stick around until you've cut your cake and danced your first dance.
Welcome to my collection of wedding advice; an accumulation of the knowledge I have gained attending weddings for a living.
Let me know if you have any suggestions for future content please feel free to contact me.
Your wedding day only happens once, and with so much going on having a second wedding photographer to provide additional coverage seems like a no-brainer.
If photography is not your passion then you may struggle to see the difference in quality between wedding photographers.
When you are planning your wedding day timeline, are you taking into account the best times of day for your photos?
For some, having an engagement shoot before a wedding is a great way to get used to the idea of being in front of a camera.
It is especially effective if you have the shoot using the same photographer that you will be having cover your wedding.
This should help you to understand their style of working.
Of course, engagement shoots are not intended as a dress rehearsal for your wedding photos.
Some of the best shots from engagement shoots are often printed on wedding invitations, thank you cards and sometimes signing boards at the wedding itself.
Getting to know a wedding photographer is about much more than just looking through photos.
Through my blog I hope you will enjoy sharing my journey as I document my experiences at wedding fayres, discuss my camera gear (perhaps in a little too much detail) and share some of my favourite moments from weddings past.
I will also use this section of the blog to provide a little extra insight into the services that I offer.
As always if you would like to get in touch feel free to use the form on the contact page.
