For me, taking a stunning image is more about expression, lighting and composition than it is about make of camera, fancy gadgets and photoshop polishing. Seeing an image is the art, capturing the image is the science and selling the image is what keeps me in business. Over the years I have won, international, national and regional awards for my photography and lectured all across the UK (sometimes a little blowing of your own trumpet is necessary).
As much as I love to gain recognition from those who inspire my creativity, for me helping a bride and groom feel comfortable in front of my camera, getting a smile out of a stubborn 2 year old or waiting patiently for the right daylight to fall onto a building are some of the reasons I turned my passion into my full time job and opened my studio in Norton, on Teesside.
