Our aim is to bring you and your family together, we want to capture you and your loved ones in a way that you all will cherish forever. We know it's not always straight forward getting all your family members together for that important family photoshoot, in the right place, coordinated and happy, well, at our Sussex studio in Heathfield we have tried to make it as easy as possible.
To help make t easier for you to book your portrait sitting we now have an online booking service to help you, no more collecting multiple times and dates off of everyone, you can sit at your leisure and book your portrait shoot at time and slot to suit you all.
We will contact you for a consultation to discuss your portrait session, we can either do this over the phone, or you are more than welcome to come to the studio if you have time, we can then discuss all the options for your photoshoot available and design your photography session, just for you.

We are based in the very beautiful market town of Heathfield, which is conveniently situated about 11 miles from Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne, and a mere stone's throw from Uckfield!
My name is Sarah and I have been lucky enough to be photographing my amazing clients for over 20 years now.
I have always loved photography and I established Sarah Tate Photography in 1999.
We have a very small team here; it was my aim to keep the business personal so that anyone who comes to us for a studio experience becomes a part of our little family.

Simple, plain-coloured clothes tend to work best, as well as clothes with a subtle pattern.
It's best to avoid bold stripes and checks as these don't work well in pictures, try not to have half the family dressed in white and the other half in black as the contrast in the images can be distracting.
It is best to try and coordinate with other family members in the photograph.

Sarah will liaise with you if you are having a Fine Art, or Newborn shoot as these shoots require further styling.
