I studied photography at Plymouth College of Art and have been in business since 1991, a member of The Association of Photographers since 1994. Each shoot involves planning as well as spontaneity plus the right social skills to make things happen on the shoot. Most of what I do is behind the scenes, getting that van moved, waiting for the right light and moment, talking to people, picking up litter, moving furniture etc.
Technically : I trained for four years and learnt how to handle cameras and lighting in any given situation. My kit is high end, extensive and high value, again to handle any situation. Landscapes in a remote valley, interiors in a stately home, industrial images in dangerous environments. Some briefs are vague, some specific. Some deadlines are hours, some years.
