I am Patrick Blake, an experienced photographer. I have worked in many types of photography - I love trying and doing new things. I firmly believe that the principles of lighting and composition can be applied to most genres of photography. Every photograph has to have a purpose. Sometimes that involves making a striking image to catch the eye, other times just a pleasing image that illustrates something.
With people it is usually catching a momentary expression or body movement that shows what that person is really like. I am Patrick Blake based in Cookham in the Thames Valley.
I have worked mainly in my London studio but also all over the UK and indeed many parts of the world.
Now I am based at my home and have a small studio but work mostly on location or at clients premises.
I find I am more enthusiastic about photography than ever.
I love working so if you you have a project small or large - I am happy to talk about it.
Maybe give you some advice about the best way to tackle it, even if I don't do it myself.
